How I Ended Up Here
My background isn’t exactly a straight line. I didn’t spend my life climbing a single corporate ladder and I certainly didn’t arrive here by accident. My path to business support has been a bit of an adventure!
My story began in the fast-paced world of traditional publishing, before I made a significant shift into technology and digital publishing operations. I spent years managing teams, frontlists (pipeline), navigating complex tech transitions and keeping multi-layered projects moving to strict deadlines.
On paper, I had it all. I had a great job, excellent career prospects, a company car, a horse that I competed and dogs that I absolutely adored.
But the truth? I wasn’t happy
The reality behind the scenes was that the corporate world was ever-changing and deeply uncertain. Because of the endless hours demanded of me, I was paying other people to take care of my horse and walk my dogs. I was constantly coming home late, completely mentally and physically drained. I was living a life where the things I loved most were being squeezed into the final, exhausted hour of the day.
So, I made a choice. I traded in the company car and the regular corporate salary for a hand-crafted, mud-on-my-boots life built entirely on my own terms.
I stepped out of the corporate machinery to run my own business. Over the last sixteen years operating an online platform within the equestrian world, I learned the true reality of what it takes to survive and thrive as an entrepreneur. I faced the tech headaches, the messy back-end organisation, the late-night firefighting and the ultimate reward of building systems that actually work.
And that is exactly how I ended up here, acting as a strategic operational partner for other ambitious business owners.
I didn’t leave my operational toolkit behind in the corporate offices; I just repurposed it. Today, I combine my project management background with my real-world entrepreneurial experience to help business owners step out of their own administrative weeds.
I built this business to give you the exact thing I had to fight to claw back for myself: your time, your sanity and the freedom to actually enjoy the life you’ve worked so hard to create.
